Open Stage

Open Stage is a new performance arena for all different dance styles and performers! Whether your style is traditional ballet, street dance, dance acrobatics or even folk dance, the Open Stage has space and opportunity to shine. Open Stage is held on the Alexander Theatre stage at Helsinki Dance Festival. 

Apply to Open Stage via video audition. The purpose of the video audition phase is to ensure that our program is diverse and of high quality. 

• The maximum length of the piece is 10 minutes

• There are no restrictions on dance styles

• Submit your application video by a Youtube-link via the application form

• If you are selected, confirm your spot by paying the 39 euro participation fee per dancer before the deadline

• The choreography featured in the video doesn't have to be the final version, and it can be modified before the event

• The selection will be made impartially by the artistic team of the Stage-events

Please note that participation fees are non-refundable. Helsinki Dance Festival reserves the right to capture photos and videos during the event for marketing purposes.
